2017 HANDMADE TILE STUDIO
PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL OR EMAIL IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO COME TO MY STUDIO TO PURCHASE TILES. I work in my studio nearly every day and if you don't mind a bit of a mess on some days, you're welcome to come and select tiles for yourself. You may also see some of the new creations I'm working on. It's always fun to 'talk mosaics' and exchange ideas with each other.
I'm cutting back on the number of classes in my studio but I still love making tiles and have a good stock on hand. I encourage you to continue to make mosaics on your own at home if you can't come to my classes. Feel free to call if you have questions or need other supplies.
UPCOMING CLASSES: OPEN STUDIO DATES 2018
CLASSES FILL UP QUICKLY! Send an email me if you'd like to check if space is available (firstname.lastname@example.org)
NEW CLASS: Saturday, January 20, 2018 - (1 spaces open)
Saturday, March 3, 2018 (3 spaces open)
During the OPEN STUDIO, you may select any project you'd like to work on from the various projects listed below on the registration form. You'll begin the class by selecting tiles to fit within your frame and when your design is finished to your satisfaction, you'll attach the tiles with mastic and then grout your mosaic. By the time the class is over, you'll have a completely finished project to take home. It's always fun and inspiring to see the different projects other people are working on! The prices includes all the handmade tiles that fit your frame, and mastic, grout, tools and instructions needed to complete your mosaic. The only thing you may want to bring to the class are snacks for yourself and an apron/coverup to wear during grouting -- sometimes it can be a bit messy! Class size is limited to 6. Above are the Open Studio dates -- pre-registration using the form below is required. All are on Saturdays and classes begin at 9:30am and usually last until about 2:30pm.
REGISTRATION FORM: Print this form and mail a check (Payable to Carol Hegedus) with a $25 deposit to Carol Hegedus, 540 S. Stoner Ave., Tucson, AZ 85748. The deposit is required to hold your spot for the Open Studio. Your money will be credited toward the final cost of your project on the day the class is held. On class day, I can take visa/mastercard, checks, or cash payments for the remainder that is due.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel 7 days prior to class, your deposit will be refunded. No refunds or credits will be given for no-shows or cancelling less than 7 days prior.

TILE MAKING CLASS INFORMATION:
DATES: Tuesday mornings, Feb. 13, 20, 27, March 6, 2018 and one more class 2-4 weeks later. We can decide that date once we get started. (9:30-12:30 each class) Maximum of 4 students in the class.
The last tile-making class I offered was about 10 years ago and it is unlikely that I will do another tile-making class after this one. Ideally, I'd like to have 3-4 students....I know you'll learn from each other and 4 would be the max I can handle. A 3-hour class is enough time to get a lot done and about the limit for our bodies -- making tiles will affect your upper back, neck, and hand muscles and you'll need to be aware of other safety issues. This class is geared for someone who wants to continue to make tiles after the class is over so the supply cost is more than if you took the class at Santa Theresa. But you'll have everything you need to work at home making tiles (except the kiln).
Class 1: Begin to make design templates from your theme drawings
